Russian Fishermen and Businesses Oppose Possible Export Duties on Fish
Representatives of Russia’s fishing industry and broader business community are pushing back against a possible plan to impose duties on Russian fish exports, an idea currently under consideration by the government.
Business groups including the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), Delovaya Rossiya and Opora Rossii have appealed to the Economy Ministry to block the proposal, which has been backed by some senior state officials.
