Southeast Alaska Spring Troll Fishery for Chinook Closes Monday

Sitka -- After three short troll fishing periods and a cumulative take of less than 2,000 Chinook, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game is closing the commercial spring troll fishery on Monday, May 29.
ADF&G's announcement described the preseason forecasts for wild Chinook salmon production in Southeast Alaska "at an all-time low."
