Russia Eyes Significant Growth in Coldwater Shrimp Production, Warmwater Imports Russia plans to significantly increase the production of shrimp as well as their imports to the country in years to come, according to recent statements made by some senior officials of the Russian Rosrybolovstvo and industry analysts. According to latest data of Rosrybolovstvo, shrimp imports to Russia last year amounted to about 40,000 tonnes. In value terms, they were equivalent to about $250 million USD. For the last several years the annual growth rate of foreign shrimp supplies to Russian has been about 10%...
