Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Cracking Down on Illegal Oyster Harvesting
Enforcement agents with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries are cracking down on illegal oyster harvesting.
On December 29 enforcement agents cited two men for alleged oyster violations in Plaquemines Parish. Nelson C. Williams III, 45, and James Garrison, 39, both of Port Sulphur, allegedly harvested five sacks of oysters from a polluted area.
