USDA Makes Historic Seafood Purchase for Food Assistance Programs
The U.S. Department of Agriculture today announced it will purchase up to $159.4 million in domestically produced seafood, fruits, legumes and nuts as part of the Section 32 food assistance funding program.
The products will be distributed to a variety of domestic food assistance programs, including charitable institutions, the USDA said in a press release.
