Six Perish in Flightseeing Crash Near Ketchikan
For the second time in three years, a plane crash with multiple fatalities has taken an Alaskan floatplan pilot and passengers from acruise ship near Ketchikan.
The pilot of the float plane, independently operated by Southeast Aviation, and five passengers from the Nieuw Amsterdam crashed eight miles northeast of Ketchikan, on their way back from a tour of the Misty Fjords National Monument.
