New California Sanctuary Proposal Looks to Add Protections to Coastline
A marine sanctuary proposal for a 140-mile stretch of California coast has been resurrected.
NOAA announced Tuesday it is seeking public comment on the first steps toward designating a new national marine sanctuary in a 7,000 square mile area off the central California coast, adjacent to San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties.
