Alaska Legislators Come Together to Protect Alaska From ”Interstate Trade War”
The Alaska House of Representatives passed House Resolution 11 which would “strike the tax proposed [Washington State] Senate Bill 5974 without further delay” yesterday. The vote was 33-2. It followed mounting pressure between the two states as meetings with Washington representatives were initiated by Alaska Speaker of the House Louise Stutes and retaliatory legislation was introduced by Alaska Representative Kevin McCabe.
