Spain, Republic of Korea Latest to Join Global Ghost Gear Initiative
The Ocean Conservancy announced last week that both Spain and the Republic of Korea are the latest national governments to join its Global Ghost Gear Initiative (GGGI).
The GGGI is an alliance that focuses on solving the problem of abandoned, lost or otherwise discarded fishing gear, or ghost gear.
The new additions make 20 national governments behind the alliance with a pair of key seafood producing countries joining the group.
