Trident Seafoods Brings Home Most of $26 Million USDA Pollock Purchase
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) purchased over 7.6 million pounds of Alaska pollock products for just shy of $26 million with Trident Seafoods taking home the majority of the contracts.
Specifically, the USDA bought 7.638 million pounds of frozen Alaska pollock products. The purchase award description from the USDA said 1.406 million pounds worth of frozen pollock fillets were purchased, 912k pounds worth of frozen nuggets and 5.32 million pounds of frozen pollock sticks were purchased.
