FFAW: Second Lobster Buying Stoppage in Newfoundland Coming to an End
FFAW said the Lobster Committee approved a proposal from the Association of Seafood Producers (ASP) on May 6, ending the second buying stoppage initiated by processors in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The tentative proposal will go into effect, pending signing, as soon as it can be arranged. FFAW said the move would end the “industry stalemate" and resume the lobster fishery.
