Hokkaido Surimi Production in May Improved in Pollock Surimi, Atka Mackerel Surimi Slipping Further
The National Surimi Manufacturers Association announced on June 26 that the production volume of onshore surimi from Hokkaido in May narrowed compared to the same period of the previous year as Alaska pollock surimi recovered from April. However, the Suisan Keizai Shimbun reported that the decline in Atka mackerel has accelerated, and the overall production volume is still sluggish.
