BOEM Shows Oregon Some Early Valentine's Day Love by Finalizing Offshore Wind Areas
Oregon's feeling the heat -- and soon, wind -- from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management as the agency finalized two wind energy areas off the South Coast.
BOEM announced today the areas hold 2.4 gigawatts of clean renewable energy and will further the Biden administration's goal of deploying 30 gigawatts of offshore wind energy capacity by 2030 and 15 GW of floating offshore wind energy capacity by 2035, BOEM said in a press release.
