SeaBear to Recall Smoked Salmon & Clam Chowders Due to Seal Defect

Washington-based SeaBear Company recalled two varieties of its seafood chowder, Smoked Salmon Chowder & Alehouse Clam Chowder because the products could potentially be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum.
A notice on the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) website warned consumers not to use the product even if it doesn’t look or smell spoiled.
