Russia: Boom of Sockeye Salmon in Kamchatka Peninsula
Russia is experiencing a boom of sockeye salmon in the Kamchatka Peninsula, one of the country’s major fishing areas.
According to officials, the volume of Pacific salmon is steadily growing in Kamchatka, with sockeye leading the pact. The total catch so far this year is 466,500 tons, which is nearly twice as much as 2023 and 2024.
