In-Store Grocery Shopping Remains Strong Despite Digital Shift, FMI Report
Americans continue to prefer in-person grocery shopping, even as digital tools become more embedded in the experience, according to a new report from The Food Industry Association (FMI) developed with The Hartman Group.
The US Grocery Shopper Trends 2026 report found that consumers visit an average of 5.4 different grocery store banners each month as they search for different types of value, from bargain shopping to specialty products and entertainment-style experiences.
