Alaska’s First COVID-19 Case Confirmed, North Pacific Council Meeting Cancelled
The North Pacific Fisheries Management Council's March 30-April 7 meeting has been cancelled following yesterday's announcement of Alaska’s first confirmed case of coronavirus disease (COVID-10).
"Council leadership and committee chairs will be evaluating the timing of the committee meetings that were originally scheduled during the Council meeting week, including the Ecosystem Committee, the Cook Inlet Salmon Committee, and the IFQ Committee. We anticipate providing additional updates on these committees soon," wrote Dave Witherall, NPFMC executive director.
