Alaska Health Mandate Sets New Requirements for Commercial Fishing Vessels
Governor Mike Dunleavy issued Health Mandates #17 last night, setting strict requirements for commercial fishing vessels to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The mandate starts today and will be reevaluated by May 20, 2020.
Crew members and captains fishing in Alaska will have to wear masks while traveling and go immediately to their quarantine location for two weeks, reported KDLG, Bristol Bay’s public radio station. The new mandate also requires twice-a-day temperature checks once they’re in Alaska.
