Snow Crab Standoff Continues; FFAW Promises “We Will Not Fish For Anything Less Than Our Fair Share”
The snow crab season in Newfoundland and Labrador opened five days ago but the entire quota of 57,586 tonnes remains in the water. And the Fish, Food & Allied Workers (FFAW) negotiating committee is resolute: “We will not fish for anything less than our fair share.”
FFAW President Greg Pretty is now calling on the provincial government to get involved.
