Four Rescued from Overturned Crab Vessel in Coos Bay, Ore.
Charleston, Ore., is having its share of tragedies in the days before the start of the Dungeness crab season. The latest is the F/V Darean Rose, loaded with crab pots, that overturned Thursday afternoon in front of the fuel dock. All crew were rescued.
The 40-foot vessel capsized and sank shortly after leaving the fuel dock at the Charleston Marina with four people aboard who reported sustaining minor injuries, the U.S. Coast Guard said in a press release. Watchstanders at Sector North Bend were notified at 2:54 p.m. ...
