JAPAN: April Seafood Imports Decreased Further by 20%
According to trade statistics released by the Ministry of Finance on April 28, the value of seafood imports in April was 135,118 million yen ($1.25 million), down 18% from the same month of the previous year. The decrease has widened from the 9% drop in March. All fish species except squid and Itoyori surimi decreased from the same month last year.
