Russia: Fish Consumption May Significantly Increase In Coming Years
Fish consumption in Russia may significantly increase, while prices for it to decline, as the government offers producers and retailers to reduce prices for their fish and seafood in exchange of compensations for their deliveries to the European part of Russia.
So far, the Russian Federal Agency of Fisheries (Rosrybolovstvo) has already announced its intention to subsidize the delivery of empty refrigerated containers to the Far East for the supply of fish only if prices for pollock in Russian retail decrease.
