Russia to Reduce Fish Catch in Barents Sea
Russia may face a reduction of fish catch in some important basins. As part of this, the Russian Association of Fishing Fleet Shipowners (ASRF) has recently reported on the reduction of total allowable catch of cod in the Barents Sea by 31% to 311,000 tonnes for 2025. These recommendations were approved by the Russian-Norwegian research group for next year; 31% less than in 2024 and the lowest level since 2003.
