NOAA Sets Three-Day 2026 Red Snapper Recreational Season, Reissues State Permits in South Atlantic

NOAA Fisheries announced that the 2026 federal recreational red snapper season in the South Atlantic will open for three days, from 12:01 a.m. on October 9 through 12:01 a.m. on October 12 — one day longer than the two-day season allowed in 2025. The bag limit remains one fish per person per day, with no minimum size limit, according to NOAA's South Atlantic Fishery Bulletin FB26-052.
