Coast Guard Aids Sinking Fishing Trawler Off Cape May, New Jersey
The Coast Guard Cutter Lawrence Lawson aided the crew on a 77-foot fishing trawler off Cape May, New Jersey, earlier this week.
The Capt Garland fishing boat, which was more than 50 miles off the coast, began taking on water Monday. The Coast Guard out of Portsmouth, Virginia, received an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) alert from the boat, but were unable to make contact.
