Association of Seafood Producers: NL Shrimp Fishery Opening Despite Price Challenges
The Newfoundland and Labrador shrimp fishery “appears to be on the cusp of starting up,” according to Derek Butler, Executive Director of the Association of Seafood Producers (ASP). ASP released a statement on Thursday explaining that, despite the price challenges, shrimp producers are “committed to their workers and harvesters who rely on the shrimp fishery for their livelihoods.”
