JAPAN: January-May Surimi Product Exports Reach Record High
According to the Ministry of Finance's trade statistics, the cumulative export volume of surimi products (excluding fish sausage) such as kamaboko steamed surimi increased by 18% from the same period of the previous year to 4433 tons. The export value increased by 14% to 4,078.1 million yen ($37.02 million). The value rose to a record high for the cumulative total from January to May.
