Restaurant Trends: Let’s Get Digital 

People are more connected than ever to their phones right now. And that can truly benefit restaurants. 

In late August the National Restaurant Association (NRA) released their mid-year 2021 State of the Restaurant Industry Report, which provided an updated look at key indicators and trends influencing the industry’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. In the report, the NRA projected that food and beverage sales in the restaurant and foodservice industry would total $789 billion in 2021; a 19.7% increase from 2020. And while that figure is still mainly made up of on-premise dining, studies show that off-premise dining isn’t going anywhere. In fact, more people want restaurants to improve their digital take-out and delivery options.
