Once Again, Feds Deny Request for Emergency Action on Bering Sea Chinook Salmon Bycatch
For the second time in two years, NOAA Fisheries has denied a request for the agency to take emergency action to institute “a cap of zero on any further Chinook salmon bycatch in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands (BSAI) pollock trawl fishery and that the emergency regulation stay in effect for 180 days.”
