The TUNACONS Foundation is leading a transformation in purse seine tuna fishing in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, based on the highest sustainability standards of the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). It was the first organization in the region to develop a research program to evaluate the use of drifting Fish Aggregating Devices (FADs) built with 100% biodegradable and non-entangling materials, known as EcoFADs.
